The Department of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) at SGBIT offers a 2-year postgraduate programme with a sanctioned intake of 60 students, approved by AICTE and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).

The MCA programme prepares graduate students for productive careers in software industry and academia through rigorous training in core and emerging computing areas. The curriculum encompasses software engineering, database systems, web technologies, mobile computing, cloud computing, and data analytics — blending theory with hands-on implementation.
